Alameda County Public Health Department, Nutrition Services is ready to kick-off our 5th annual Soda Free Summer campaign. The movement continues to grow and now six counties in the Bay Area region are getting sugar savvy this summer! In the past few years, the campaign has inspired thousands of residents to make a lasting commitment to good health by reducing and eliminating sweetened beverages and high sugar foods. And now it’s your turn. We invite you to…
Sign up for the Soda Free Summer Challenge
Instead of soda, commit to drinking:
Water (everyday — all you want!)
Non-fat or Low-fat Milk
100% Fruit Juice (limit juice to 1/2 cup daily)
Unsweetened Iced Tea
Submit a video about being soda free to our Soda Free Summer YouTube Video Contest for your chance to win a $500 gift card!
As our friends at BANPAC say, “Pledge the Practice! Pass the Policy!” Advocating for and passing simple soda free policies is easier than you might think.
